So I was perusing the frozen foods section of the grocery store when I happened upon a new and improved Banquet section complete with signs and banners extolling the
virtues incredibly low prices of Banquet's offerings. Having never really paid attention to the brand before, I was intrigued that these guys could procure, cook, package, and ship a complete meal for a buck.
How do you produce anything frozen for so cheap? Operational efficiency? Bargaining power? Volume? I'm sure that all these factors come into play, but more than anything, I think it's because the good folks at Banquet has totally given up:
Cheesy Smothered Meat Patty Meal. Their poor copywriter. Years of school and dreaming big only to be handed this? Then again, I bought one, but only because the picture of the cheesy meat patty reminded me of something I adored in my childhood:

So I figured I'd give it a go. After all, with a name like Cheesy Meat Patty Meal, it's not like you're in for any surprises.

As advertised...

All I can say is that it lived up to its name...and that it's not for the squeamish. Either way, rock on Banquet copywriter. Rock on!
