Barktoberfest

We took Gertie to Barktoberfest last weekend. For those who don't know what Barktoberfest is, it's an event put on by the Cascade Beagle Rescue. It's a great excuse for 40+ beagles to get together and do hound stuff. It was absolutely hilarious. Bear and I kept losing Gertie in the pack of beagles as they ran from one side of the park to the other. That's her front and center begging from a stranger who made the unfortunate mistake of opening dog treats on the premises:

We even got her a Halloween collar so she could celebrate the season. All in all, it was a fun day and good to support such a great organization.

Little Monsters

What a power punched entry this was. I have to admit that I was a bit excited to grow these monsters. And, of course, a bit disappointed to see that they didn't really get that big. Though, I haven't seen these type of products for a long time. I think they're usually reserved for museum gift shops where they sit next to the clear pencil with the rocks in it and the gelatin capsules that give birth to sponge dinosaurs.

Read the Post --- Return to the Halloween Extravaganza

September

Time has flown. I'm already thinking about the fall and holidays and all that good stuff- even though it's 90 degrees here in Portland today. In case you were wondering the Halloween Extravaganza will take place this year, we're just a couple days from starting and we've got some good stuff lined up for you. Last year was a blast and we're hoping to really outdo ourselves this year, so be sure to check back often.

poltergeistOn a side note, they're re-releasing Poltergeist for it's 20th anniversary. I don't know about other cities, but it's only playing one night here, so we've got to make it a point to procure ourselves some tickets. If you haven't seen it in a while, you can refresh your memory with our review: Poltergeist Movie Review.

Until the Halloween Extravaganza starts, have fun and be smart.
